‘Rites of Passage’ events
Native American storyteller Larry Brown of Buena Park will tell stories about rites of passage and Native American creation myths at the museum. July 23, 7:30 p.m.
* Video series on rites of passage including birth, coming of age, marriage and death: “The Tourist,” July 9, 1 and 3 p.m.; “Rocks With Wings,” July 23, 1 and 3 p.m.; “Tobelo Marriage,” July 30, 1:30 p.m.; “La Ofrenda: The Days of the Dead,” Aug. 6, 1 and 3 p.m. All are free with museum admission.
* Dining series featuring dinner at four restaurants featuring foods associated with traditional feasts. Yen-Ching Restaurant (Chinese food) in Orange, July 13; Tandoor Cuisine of India in Orange, July 20; Sophia’s Greek Cuisine in Placentia, July 27; Little Joe Restaurant (South American food) in Orange, Aug. 3. All dinners run 7 to 9 p.m. $24 per meal, including tax and tip.
