WORLD CUP USA ’94 / THE FIRST ROUND : SPOTLIGHT : REYNA OUT SUNDAY

U.S. trainer Rudy Rudawsky said midfielder Claudio Reyna, who has been out two weeks because of a slight tear in his right hamstring, will not be available for Sunday’s game against Romania, but if the United States advances to the second round and beyond he might be able to play.

Reyna has been examined by a doctor whose specialty is muscle damage. Rudawsky said the doctor cleared Reyna to practice lightly, which he did Friday.
