VENTURA : Meeting to Address Builders’ Proposals
- Share via
Developers hoping to build in Ventura will have a chance to present their projects to city leaders at a special joint session of the City Council and Planning Commission on July 7.
After two hours of debate, council members and planning commissioners agreed Tuesday to hold another joint meeting to hear the builders’ proposals before the council awards housing allocations at the end of July.
The city, bound by local and federal standards for air pollution and growth control, can allow 1,018 houses, condominiums or apartments built through 1999. However, in 1994 alone, developers are seeking to build more than 3,000 housing units in the city.
