SOUTH COUNTY : Tutors Needed for English Program
Tutors are needed to teach adults to speak, read and write English.
Volunteers will be trained by the South Coast Literacy Council. That group will hold an informational meeting from 7 to 10 p.m. Aug. 4 at the Irvine Auxiliary Educatio Center, 31 W. Yale Loop, Irvine.
Volunteers will teach illiterate English-speaking adults to read and write and teach English to others.
The South Coast Literacy Council has 350 volunteers and serves South County.
