The Financial Times reports from Athens that Greece has been stunned by its team’s second consecutive World Cup loss, suffered when Bulgaria trounced the Greek side, 4-0.
“Greek national team, shame on you,” the afternoon daily Ta Nea of Athens said in a banner headline accompanied by a half-page picture showing fans at an Athens coffee shop making obscene gestures at a TV set.
