GM and Chrysler Announce Recalls: The auto makers’ actions involve more than 40,000 pickups and front-drive minivans from the 1991 to 1994 model years. Chrysler is asking owners of about 35,000 of its older style “D-body” Dodge Ram trucks powered by Cummins diesel engines to have the fuel injection pump inspected and possibly replaced. Some of the pumps could allow higher-than-normal fuel flow, the auto maker said. GM is asking owners of about 5,600 1993 and 1994 model minivans equipped with both the power sliding door and built-in child seat to take the vehicles to dealers to have the shoulder belt rerouted.
