Politics: Coverage of Monterey Park Election
I must comment on the shallowness of your reporting of the councilmanic election in Monterey Park (Asian Americans’ Expected Gains Fail to Materialize, April 14).
Nowhere in your coverage do you mention qualifications or experience. Because the Asian population in Monterey Park is 53%, does that mean there should’ve been an Asian blitz? This is the message in your coverage. It is irresponsible and serves to drive a wedge into the community.
