Brentwood
As a long-time Brentwood resident who lives less than three blocks and well within helicopter and lookie-loo harassment from O.J. Simpson’s house, I have one question:
In reporting in the tremendous inconvenience those of us who are neighbors have endured (July 13), what in heaven’s name possessed you to print the most detailed yet map of exactly how to get here? As I went about my business today, I saw many more “visitors” than I have seen over the last few days.

I am so sick of Brentwood homeowners whining about tourists in their neighborhood. One has to wonder--if only the Brentwood homeowners had been half as vigilant to their streets and surrounding community before this brutal double slaying occurred, then perhaps they would have been able to detect the crime before it happened, and even somehow prevented it.
It’s too late to peer through your mini-blinds and hedges calling the cops every few minutes, Brentwood residents. Just be thankful that you’re still alive to see it. Two former residents, Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, aren’t so lucky.
