Coca-Cola Co. reported that worldwide marketing initiatives, new ad campaigns and the reintroduction of the contour Coke bottle helped boost second-quarter profit by 12%.

For the three months ended June 30, the Atlanta-based company earned $758 million, or 59 cents a share, compared to $678 million, or 52 cents a share, in the same period a year ago. Revenue rose 11% to $4.34 billion, from $3.9 billion.
