5 Seats to Be Filled on 2 School Boards
Two South County school boards have open seats, and the candidate filing period for the November election began Monday.
The Capistrano Unified School District board has three vacancies on its seven-member board, according to Sharon Tanner, executive assistant to the superintendent.
The seats up for election are currently held by President Paul B. Haseman, in Trustee Area 1, Crystal Kochendorfer, in Trustee Area 4, and Vice President Annette B. Gude, in Trustee Area 7.
In the Saddleback Valley Unified School District, two seats on the five-member board are to be filled, said Jeanette Bray, executive secretary to the school board.
Those seats are now held by Dore J. Gilbert and Bobbee Cline.
Those interested in running for the boards may pick up filing forms from the county registrar of voters, 1300 S. Grand Ave., in Santa Ana.
