Jazzy Needs Love

* I am pleased to read that the collie, Jazzy, is doing well after being abused by her owner (“Man Pleads Not Guilty in Assault on Dog,” June 4). I do not believe that giving Jazzy to a breeder is in her best interest.

I have been to a few breeders, and although the dogs get good physical care, I don’t think she will get the individual emotional support and love that she will need.

I hope Jazzy will have a family who will give her lots of attention and gentle touches. She needs to be a member of a loving family, not an asset in a business.
