Santa Ana Has Catfish Aplenty
Catfish fry, anyone?
The fish are biting in Santa Ana River Lakes, and starting Thursday there will be no limit on how many can be caught. The more the better, management says.
The reason?
The lakes are closing Sunday night and will be drained for dredging and repairs. Fish that aren’t caught will die.
Cost of fishing the popular catfish lakes will be cut to $5 Thursday and Friday, and there will be no charge Saturday and Sunday.
