This writer agrees totally with Martin Bernheimer’s hilarious and piquant review of the performance/spectacle “Encore! The Three Tenors” (“Greatest Tenor Show on Earth,” July 18).

Indeed, it was wonderful kitsch delivered by three magnificent talents who fully comprehend that the marketplace devours and glories in wonderful kitsch, even hungers for its delivery. They gave the audience members what they wanted unashamedly and hurried to the bank, as did all others involved in the circus. And the lowest common denominator dropped yet another notch. Few knew and fewer cared.
