Micom Communications Reports Doubled Profit

Micom Communications Corp. in Simi Valley reported that its profit doubled in its fiscal first quarter. The company said the results reflected market acceptance of its low-cost computer networking products.

In the three months that ended June 30, Micom earned $2.13 million, in contrast with year-earlier net income of $1.07 million. Its revenue in the recent quarter rose 24% from a year before, to $23 million from $18.5 million.
