Styles On Video’s Earnings, Revenue More Than Double

Styles On Video Inc., a Canoga Park developer of interactive imaging systems, reported that its earnings and revenue more than doubled in the second quarter.

The company had net income of $1.06 million in the three months ended June 30, compared with a $448,000 profit a year earlier. Its revenue was $3.77 million, up from $1.78 million.

Styles On Video’s six-month profit jumped to $1.9 million from $789,000 in net income a year before. Its revenue totaled $6.96 million in the first half of this year, more than double the $3.32 million in revenue in the first six months of 1993.

The company attributed the results to growing sales of its hairstyling and optical imaging systems.

Styles On Video also said it acquired an 80% interest in Forever Yours Inc., a new company formed to develop a digital imaging system to take pictures of newborn babies. Terms were not disclosed.
