The Cleveland Browns have finally signed their two first-round draft picks, cornerback Antonio Langham and wide receiver Derrick Alexander.

Langham, the ninth player drafted, agreed first to the basic terms of a four-year, $4.6-million deal, which included a $2.5 million signing bonus.

Alexander, the 29th player taken in the draft, agreed to a four-year deal worth a reported $700,000 a year, plus a $410,000 signing bonus.

James Hasty, the Jets’ best cornerback, will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right knee today and be sidelined at least three weeks. Hasty will have scar tissue removed that formed after surgery in March. . . . Dolphin quarterback Dan Marino and his worrisome right leg are ready to take the next step in his comeback from a torn Achilles’ tendon with a start in Saturday’s game against Pittsburgh. But it was surprising to some since Marino still walks with a limp and admits that his right ankle hurts.
