AND ONE MORE THING: The Rhino Records...

AND ONE MORE THING: The Rhino Records store--in the pre-CD days one of the top spots for used albums--has found an appropriate way to celebrate its 21st birthday. Each Saturday this month, the Westwood store will hold a parking lot sale with every item going for just 21 cents.

The bulk of the material being sold was acquired recently from the estate of a collector who had amassed about 200,000 albums covering virtually all genres of music. A new batch of about 40,000 will be put out for each sale day, with those unsold at the end of the day carted away for a fitting demise: They’ll be melted down and recycled for new LPs and singles.
