Delta Workers Fired After Alleged Joy Ride: A mechanic and a customer service agent with Delta Air Lines were arrested and fired after being accused of taking an empty Boeing 737 on a mile-long run on a Tucson airport taxiway, police said. “It’s the most serious breach of Delta policy,” airline spokeswoman Paulette O’Donnell said of the case. Ronald Hamilton, 32, the mechanic, was arrested on suspicion of driving an aircraft under the influence of alcohol, unlawful use of transportation and theft. Bruce Hetrick, 36, was arrested on suspicion of criminal trespass, unlawful use of transportation and theft.
