Gasoline Prices Rise More Than 3 Cents: The overall retail price for the fuel has been climbing over the past two weeks at double the pace of last month, an industry analyst said. The average was $1.2381 a gallon as of Friday, up 3.35 cents from the previous survey, said analyst Trilby Lundberg, author of the Lundberg Survey. Lundberg said the increase is because of higher crude oil prices and strong demand. A month-old strike by oil workers in Nigeria, the world’s 10th-largest oil producer, contributed heavily to the rise in crude prices, she said. The biweekly survey is based on a review of prices at 10,000 gas stations nationwide.
