On Sunday, when the Dodgers played before a crowd of 70,372 at Mile High Stadium, it was the largest crowd they had played before in the regular season since opening night at the L.A. Coliseum, April 18, 1958, when they played before 78,762.

The crowd Sunday put the Rockies over three million in attendance after only 52 dates, breaking the record they set last season when they reached the mark in 53 dates.

Rafael Bournigal had a scare Monday morning when he couldn’t find his eyeglasses. He had already packed his suitcase for Cincinnati and sent it down to be loaded on the truck to the airport, when he realized he might have packed both pairs of the glasses he wears when he plays. The suitcase, though, wasn’t gone, so he retrieved them. “Can you believe it?” he said. “I wouldn’t have been able to play today.”
