SATICOY : Ground Broken for Medical Clinic for Poor

Share

A group of 60 Saticoy-based health-care providers took time out Tuesday to watch construction workers break ground for a new medical clinic being built there to serve low-income residents.

The new two-story clinic, which will replace an existing facility run by Clinicas Del Camino Real, will offer physical therapy, dental, and vision care, as well as traditional health-care services.

The nonprofit health-care provider decided to replace its office at 1280 S. Wells Road because the realignment of California 118 left the building too close to high-speed traffic, said Al Limon, a program coordinator.

The new building, which will be at 250 S. Wells Road will house 18 exam rooms and the corporate offices of Clinicas Del Camino Real, which runs three other clinics in the county.

Clinic officials said they hope to relocate to the new building by September, 1995.
