Fluor Gets Major Contracts: Fluor Corp. said two of its operating units have received major construction contracts. Fluor Daniel has been awarded a contract for engineering, procurement and construction management services for a $400-million expansion of the Escondida copper mine in Chile. It is the third expansion Fluor Daniel has handled at the mine. The company also provided engineering and construction management for the original mine facilities in 1988. Separately, Fluor Constructors International said it has been awarded a construction management contract for a $30-million water treatment plant expansion in Reno.
