Reward Offered for Tips in July Robbery

Tips on the identities of two masked gunmen who robbed a Thousand Oaks pizzeria could bring tipsters a reward of up to $1,000 from Ventura County Crime Stoppers Inc.

Two heavyset, masked gunmen entered the Lamppost Pizza restaurant on Lindero Canyon Road on July 30, held guns to two employees’ heads and forced them to open a safe before fleeing with cash. No one was hurt in the robbery.

Ventura County sheriff’s detectives said that both men were between 18 and 25 years old and about six feet tall. They also wore distinctive clothing. Witnesses said they had on baggy black pants with orange seams, black long-sleeved shirts, black tennis shoes and ski masks.

Anyone with information about the robbers is asked to call 805-494-TALK. Tipsters do not have to give their names and will be assigned a number as their only identification. A reward of up to $1,000 will be paid if an arrest is made and the robbers are charged in criminal court.
