45 Groups Awarded County Arts Grants
Forty-five county arts groups will share $128,500 in matching grants recently approved by the L.A. County Board of Supervisors.
The grants, awarded through the National/State/County Partnership grant program, help small-budget and emerging arts groups from all disciplines.
This year’s grants range from $1,000 to $10,000 with the largest awards going to the organizations Great Leap ($10,000); L.A. Freewaves and Southwest Chamber Music Society ($8,000 each); Padua Hills Theatre and Visual Communications ($7,500); Dance Kaleidoscope and Jazz Tap Ensemble ($5,000 each), and Danza Floricanto, Los Angeles Mozart Orchestra and Pacific Resident Theatre Ensemble ($4,500 each).
