Verteq Inc.: The manufacturer of computer chip processing equipment, said Wednesday it is merging with Phoenix Process Automation Inc. of Corvallis, Ore.

Phoenix Process, which makes products used in fabricating chips, will be operated as a division of Verteq. The companies said facilities and staff will be expanding in both locations in the near future. Financial terms of the merger were not disclosed.

The merger will form a company with combined annual sales of more than $30 million, the companies said.

Verteq, based in Santa Ana, makes solutions used in cleaning, rinsing and drying processes during semiconductor manufacturing.
