Man Sentenced for Domestic Abuse
North Hollywood resident Elmer Leone Alarcon has pleaded no contest to his second domestic-violence offense and has been ordered to start a 401-day jail sentence immediately, according to a release from the Los Angeles city attorney.
Alarcon was arrested July 12 when the 18-year-old victim called the police after he repeatedly struck and kicked her during an argument at their home. The victim is the mother of Alarcon’s infant son.
Alarcon was also found in violation of an unrelated drunk driving conviction from last year.
Alarcon had been convicted Nov. 23 of another domestic violence offense against the same woman. For that offense, he was sentenced to two days in jail and 10 days as a Caltrans worker, and ordered to enroll in a six-month domestic violence counseling program.
In March, he was sentenced to 25 days in jail for violating his probation and not participating in the program.
