Dense-Pac Microsystems Inc.: The firm announced Monday it has received a $750,000 order from E-Systems, based in Greenville, Tex., for computer memory chips that function in rough environments.

E-Systems will use the chips in its avionics sales, company officials said. Deliveries are scheduled over the next 90 days. The chips are ceramic and will be used in things like planes, satellites and missiles, where there is too much bouncing around to install a hard drive to handle memory needs.

James Turner, chief executive officer of Dense-Pac, said the order is his company’s third major one for the chips this quarter, pushing demand higher than Dense-Pac had expected.
