Fidelity Subsidiary Acquires World Title
Fidelity National Financial Inc., a title insurance underwriter, said Monday that its American Title Insurance Co. subsidiary has acquired the operating assets of World Title Co.’s operation in San Diego County.
As a result, World Title will now become directly operated by American Title.
Irvine-based Fidelity previously bought 60% of World Tax Service in Brea and the operating assets of World Title’s operation in Fresno. While Fidelity disclosed that it paid $430,000 for the Fresno operation, no terms were disclosed regarding the acquisition announced Monday.
“This acquisition presents us with an opportunity to grow our consolidated market share and further expand our direct operations in San Diego County,” Fidelity President William P. Foley II said.
