Treasury Note Yields Hit 3-Year High: Yields on two-year Treasury notes rose in auction to the highest level in three years. The high yield was 6.27%, up from 6.17% at the last auction July 26. It was the highest rate since two-year notes sold for 6.46% in August, 1991. The notes will carry a coupon interest rate of 6.25%, with each $10,000 in face value selling for $9,996.30. A total of $17.26 billion in notes were sold out of bids totaling $56.43 billion.
