IRVINE : Nursery School to Host Summer Picnic
The Irvine Community Nursery School will hold its 21st annual summer picnic at the school’s new location at 2 Shoreline in Heritage Park, from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday.
The annual event precedes the 22nd school year of the only accredited “parent participation” preschool in the city, according to school officials.
“It’s actually a parent-run school,” school spokeswoman Shellie Artenian said. “We’ve been working with the city on getting this new location for about a year.”
The school, which moved from 2 Stonecreek South in Woodbridge Village, has 48 students from age 2 years and 9 months to pre-kindergarten.
