PORT OF LOS ANGELES : Hearing Is Set for Terminal Island Plans
The port will have a public hearing Monday on an application to revamp the Evergreen container terminal on Terminal Island.
Improvements planned for the terminal, at Berths 227 to 232, include the construction of a 3,000-foot crane rail, a new entrance gate and a new marine and maintenance building, said port spokesman Jeff Leong.
The port must obtain a coastal development permit for the changes, he said.
The hearing will be in the boardroom at 425 S. Palos Verdes St., San Pedro, at 10 a.m.
