David A. Young has been appointed chief financial officer and vice president for finance at Datum Inc., an Anaheim manufacturer of frequency products and timing instrumentation. He succeeds Benjamin F. Tarver, who retired. Young was formerly executive vice president and chief operating officer of Blower-Dempsay Corp. in Santa Ana. He has also held financial positions with Alpha Micro Systems, MSI Data Corp., Compusave and San/Bar.
