STUDIO CITY : Limits Sought on Mansion’s Parties

Share

In an attempt to halt allegedly massive and raucous parties--some sporting 1,000 guests and valet parking--at a private Studio City mansion, the city attorney’s office is seeking a preliminary injunction to strictly limit activities at the home.

The request filed Tuesday asks the court to ban the illegal sale or consumption of alcohol, any parties with more than 25 people, any parties after 10 p.m. and advertising any events held at the house, among other limitations.

The reason for seeking an injunction, according to Deputy City Atty. Deborah Sanchez, is to place restrictions on the mansion while a suit against the owners and occupants works its way through the courts. Violating the injunction would subject the defendants to fines, jail time, or closure of the property.

“It’s been pretty quiet” at the house, however, since the lawsuit was filed Aug. 2, Sanchez said.

Neighbors began complaining about the $2.1-million mansion at 3240 Wrightwood Drive as early as 1990. Party-goers would copulate and urinate on their lawns, neighbors said, fling cigarette butts onto the dry hillsides, run elaborate parking shuttles up and down the roads, and block them from using their own driveways.

Jerry Bolduc, an occupant of the 7,106-square-foot house, has said he is being harassed over parties held before he moved into the home in January.

The hearing in Los Angeles Superior Court is scheduled for Sept. 26 at 9:30 a.m.
