HUNTINGTON BEACH : Speakers Bureau Available to Groups

Share

For groups that want an inside look at City Hall, a new Speakers Bureau is available on topics ranging from the art scene to waste management.

The bureau was established to provide the community with speakers for meetings, classes and associations.

“It’s a method for people to find out about what’s going on in the city,” Deputy City Administrator Richard Barnard said. “It’s a way to talk about the city and its programs.”

Each city department is represented in the list of speakers available to the community. Such topics include “Organizing Huntington Beach,” “Your Public Library,” “Community Preservation” and “Marine Safety--Safe Beaches Are a Must.”

Brochures of the speeches are available at the information desk on the first floor of City Hall, 2000 Main St. Information about requesting a speaker for an event is available by calling the Speakers Bureau hot line at (714) 536-5946.
