5-Year-Old Boy Fatally Shoots Younger Brother

CHICAGO —
A 5-year-old boy accidentally shot his 3-year-old brother to death after their mother left them home alone, police said.
The mother, 25-year-old Diane Lopiccolo, was charged Saturday with three counts of child endangerment.
Justin James died at Cook County Hospital shortly before midnight Friday. He had been shot in the head with a .38-caliber handgun by his brother, Jovan, according to police Cmdr. John Kozaritz.
