Share

The Newport-Mesa Unified School District is seeking volunteers to serve on its budget advisory and audit committees.

Eight of 14 seats are available on the budget committee, the school board’s conduit to the community on matters related to the district’s annual financial plan. Members communicate community desires to the board for fiscal planning.

There is one vacancy on the 15-member audit committee, which works with district auditors in preparing the annual report for the board and evaluates auditors’ methods and effectiveness.
