Bridgford Foods’ Quarterly Profit Increases by 15%

Bridgford Foods Corp., an Anaheim producer of convenience food products, reported profit of $1.5 million, or 15 cents a share, for its third fiscal quarter. That was up 15% from earnings of $1.3 million, or 14 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Sales for the quarter ended July 29 rose 3% to $25.6 million from $24.8 million. For the first three quarters of its fiscal year, the company said its profit increased 10% to $4.3 million, or 46 cents a share, from $3.9 million, or 41 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Nine-month sales increased 4% to $80.5 million from $77.6 million.
