The 22-year-old man who was released from jail Tuesday after being cleared of allegations that he impersonated an immigration officer and sexually assaulted women said Wednesday he has been “branded for life” by the negative attention.

Christopher Aguayo told The Times on Tuesday that the more than four days he spent in jail had been a “good experience” that gave him time to think about what kind of person he is. But on Wednesday, he said he was feeling embittered by the mistake.

Aguayo said he was not thinking about filing a lawsuit.
