PRO FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : RAMS : Harrison Limps After Workout

Share

The Rams released wide receiver Todd Kinchen because they couldn’t keep him injury-free and signed former Falcon wide receiver Tony Harrison for their practice squad as a replacement. After one workout, Harrison began limping.

“What happened, and this is amazing,” Coach Chuck Knox said, “he woke up and he had this pain in the hip.

“He ran well out here (Wednesday). In fact, he was impressive for the first workout.”

Harrison, who was limping badly, left after practice to undergo medical examination.

After all the trouble the Rams have gone through to get permission for cornerback Darryl Henley to play for them, Knox won’t say now if he will.

Henley has been cleared to join the team for Sunday’s game against the Falcons in Atlanta, and Knox has watched him practice without problems the last two days, but was noncommittal Thursday. “We’ll make a decision on who our 45 players will be on Sunday an hour and 15 minutes before the ballgame,” Knox said.
