Con-Way Western Names Quality Chief

* Julie Gruber has been promoted to director of quality assurance for Con-Way Western Express, a Buena Park trucking company. Gruber joined the company in 1986 as a customer service representative.

* Michael J. Quinn has been appointed executive vice president, sales and marketing for Bergen Brunswig Corp., an Orange-based distributor of pharmaceuticals. He was previously president and chief executive of OCP America, and before that was president and chief operating officer of the Cardinal Health Group subsidiary of Cardinal Distribution Inc.

* Julien Carralero has been appointed director of food and beverage for the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Dana Point. He will be responsible for the daily operation of the hotel’s restaurants and lounges, as well as the room service, banquet and steward departments. Carralero, who has been with the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co. for more than six years, was most recently the director of food and beverage at the Ritz-Carlton, Mauna Lani, Hawaii.

* Lawrence A. Scott has joined Lincoln Property Co. in Irvine as director of business development. He will head the expansion of the company’s third-party property management portfolio and assist in property acquisition activities. Scott was previously vice president/senior asset manager at American Real Estate Group, a subsidiary of American Savings Bank.

* Rodney A. Wycoff Jr. has joined Strategic Mortgage Services in Costa Mesa as director of national policy and programs for the appraisal division. Prior to joining the company, Wycoff owned and operated his own appraisal firm, and before that was vice president at Equitable Real Estate.

* Sharon Kielty has been promoted to national sales manager of Acculogic and Computer Peripherals Inc., two companies which operate as the ACC Technology Group in Irvine. She had been the Western region manager of Acculogic for the past two years.

* Dan Aminoff, vice president and Southern California correspondent division manager for Arcs Mortgage Inc., has assumed the additional responsibility of overseeing all Orange County wholesale business out of the firm’s San Juan Capistrano office. Aminoff began his career with Arcs in 1982 and has worked as a loan officer for both single-family and multifamily properties as well as a retail branch manager in Tustin. Arcs is the mortgage banking affiliate of the Bank of New York.
