Commemorative stamps honoring jazz and blues greats Billie Holliday, Muddy Waters, Bessie Smith and several other well-known artists will be unveiled in a ceremony Saturday at a local nightclub.

The stamps, part of the United States Postal Service Legends of American Music series, will be shown at the House of Blues nightclub on Sunset Boulevard.

“People the world over will get to know how important these musicians were and still are to American music,” Los Angeles Postmaster Jesse Durazo said.
