FRIDAY FOOTBALL ROUNDUP
Jefferson 21, Jordan 9--Isaac Hatley rushed for 162 yards in 23 carries and scored all three touchdowns to lead the Democrats in a Southeastern Conference game at Jefferson.
Jordan’s bid to end a 27-game losing streak looked promising when it took a 3-0 lead on Francisco Fuentes’ 32-yard field goal in the first quarter. But Hatley countered with scoring runs of 59 and three yards to give Jefferson a 14-3 lead with 2:28 left in the first half.
Bulldog quarterback Kevin Harris made the game close, scoring from the 1 with 1:29 to play in the half. But Hatley’s third touchdown, a
four-yard run, ended Jordan’s hopes for its first win since 1991.
Next week: Roosevelt at Jordan; Bell at Jefferson.
