AmeriQuest Stock Up on Merger Plans

IRVINE — AmeriQuest Technologies Inc. stock ticked up slightly Thursday after the company said it had completed the first stage of its acquisition of a Robec Inc., a microcomputer distributor based in Horsham, Pa.
Irvine-based AmeriQuest distributes both computer hardware and software products.
In a stock swap, AmeriQuest purchased 2.22 million shares of Robec--a 50.1% stake in the company. The merger should be completed by the end of the year.
