Francis Parker Trips Up SCC With a Hook-and-Ladder Play

Share

Dan Kuiper, the coach of San Diego Francis Parker, took a page out of his old eight-man football playbook to beat Southern California Christian, 19-14, Friday afternoon.

With 7 minutes 11 seconds left in the game and his team at the Flames’ 36-yard line, Kuiper called for a hook-and-ladder play.

Francis Parker quarterback Sam Winner hit Curtis Galvin with a short pass in the right flat. Galvin pitched the ball to Chris Auerbach, who was running up the right sideline. Auerbach scored easily to erase a one-point SCC lead.
