Effort to Save the Rams Is Misdirected

Share

* As I read The Times’ articles next to each other, “Offer to Save the Rams Not in Ballpark, Team President Warns” and “Rebuilding After Drug Sweep Begins” (Sept. 10), it occurred to me: Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the people trying to save the Rams would put their effort and money instead into supporting the Santa Ana police’s drug sweep?

The Rams’ owner already knows what (she) is going to do. After the Rams are long gone, we still need safe streets. It seems strange that the Santa Ana police are trying to take drugs off the street and the Rams are putting money up for (player Darryl) Henley.

Where are our priorities?
