Vans Inc.: The Orange shoe manufacturer reported a profit of $903,000, or 9 cents a share, for the first quarter of fiscal 1995, which ended Aug. 27. The profit was up 1% from the $893,000, or 9 cents a share, posted for last year’s first three months. Quarterly sales increased 1%, to $21.5 million from $21.3 million.
