Ahmanson Plan Would Be Fatal for Santa Monicas
Susan Genelin’s commentary regarding Ahmanson’s proposed development between Thousand Oaks and the west San Fernando Valley was right on target. It is a prime example of a developer’s total disregard for anything but the dollar.
The daily traffic created by this behemoth would destroy the quality of life on North Las Virgenes Road and beyond for the hundreds of families that live in the condos and houses of that area.
If Las Virgenes Road is burdened by Ahmanson’s automobile traffic, plus a large proposed commercial development at Las Virgenes Road and the Ventura Freeway plus Soka’s proposed development that would be larger than Topanga Plaza, we can kiss our rural life goodby. Most of us moved to “horse country” to get away from it all.
Homeowners must unite and oppose this insanity with all that we’ve got!
