Microsemi Corp.: The Santa Ana semiconductor company reported preliminary earnings of $3.9 million for the fiscal year ended Oct. 2, before the effect of write-downs of military inventories and other assets that are expected to result in a charge of between $4.8 million and $6 million. That compares with a profit of $3 million for fiscal 1993, which included a one-time gain of $1.3 million from an accounting change. Revenue for fiscal 1994 was approximately $119.5 million, down from $123.8 million for fiscal 1993.
