Weekend TV : Stay Tuned for Some Frights for Halloween

The goblins and ghouls come out early to sprinkle programming with Halloween-themed shows.

The scare-fest begins at 9 a.m. today on the Cartoon Network with the “Scoob-a-Thon,” a 24-hour monster mash of Scooby Doo movies.

* Ray Bradbury’s award-winning “The Halloween Tree” is rebroadcast today at noon on TBS.

* ABC offers “Double, Double, Toil and Trouble,” starring Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, today, 8 p.m. on Channels 7, 3, 10 and 42.

* “Aaahh!!! Monsters,” a new Nickelodeon show, premieres today at 8 p.m.

* Shari Lewis stars in “Lamb Chop in the Haunted Studio,” a prime-time PBS special featuring Alan Thicke and John Byner, Sunday at 8 p.m. on Channel 28.

* “The Simpsons” continues its Halloween tradition with “Treehouse of Horrors V,” Sunday at 8 p.m. on Fox.

* And on NBC Sunday, there’s “The Addams Family,” starring the late Raul Julia, 9 p.m. on Channels 4, 36, and 39.
