ART LESSON: Forget Walt Disney World. The CalArts campus in Valencia might be the duckiest investment Walt Disney ever made. The private arts college is the recruiting base for animators that made the company a fortune in recent years with hits like “Aladdin” and “The Lion King” (D1). . . . Disney founded the school three decades ago. The first animation class graduated in 1976.

FINAL DRAG: He’s raced all across America, but it was the Valley that put Don Prudhomme, 53, on the road. Prudhomme, above, who competes in his final race today--the Winston Select Finals at the Fairplex in Pomona--found the Valley great for drag-racing: “You could take those hot rods and go to side roads. It was a safe situation. I don’t even think cops came out that far.”

SON RISE: P. J. Goossen, 24, will compete in a superwelterweight fight at the Warner Center Marriott next week. Ex-pug Pat Goossen, 51, trains and manages his son (C12). . . . Pat Goossen separated from family-run Ten Goose Boxing before it became lucrative and is playing catch-up by investing in his son’s career. Early dividends: P. J. is 12-0 with 11 knockouts.
